Ron Murphy
Vice President of Finance & Chief Financial Officer
Ron Murphy joined Aux Sable, as Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Aux Sable Liquid Products Inc. and Aux Sable Canada Ltd. in July 2005.
Before joining Aux Sable, Mr. Murphy spent 24 years in the oil and gas industry, progressing through many financial and accounting roles Mr. Murphy’s career began at Mobil Oil Canada in Calgary. Over the next fifteen years Mr. Murphy worked in Mobil Oil Canada’s Toronto office and then for Mobil Oil Corporation in Fairfax, Virginia. In 1996 Mr. Murphy joined Southward Energy, as the Chief Financial Officer for the next two years. In 1998 he worked as a Corporate Finance Specialist with Alberta Energy. Mr. Murphy left this role in 1999 and began a private consulting practice where he consulted to Alliance Pipeline and subsequently to Aux Sable. As part of his consulting practice, Mr. Murphy acted as Chief Financial Officer for a number of oil and gas companies.
Mr. Murphy graduated from Memorial University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Dalhousie University in 1982.
