Financial Boost for Boys and Girls Programming in the Fort
Aux Sable is pleased to have recently presented the Boys and Girls Club (BGC) of Fort Saskatchewan with a financial boost to support
their local programming. The cheque, in the amount of $8500, was presented to the organization by Colin McEwen, Operations Superintendent, Aux Sable Canada.
Creating Strong Communities Together
As the owner and operator of the Heartland Offgas Plant in Alberta's Industrial Heartland, Aux Sable is a local employer and active member in the community. "The Boys and Girls club is an outstanding contributor to the fabric of this community," says Colin. "Their focus on helping young people to discover, develop and achieve their best potential by engaging them in quality, challenging programming is admirable."
An Important Partnership
The partnership between the Boys and Girls Club and Aux Sable began years ago after a tour of the club helped determine it was the type of local organization that matched Aux Sable's community focused values. Since then, the company has provided annual donations to the club.
"Aux Sable has long supported the club and only requests that we direct their funds to a program that we see is in need," says Wendy Serick, Executive Director of the Fort Saskatchewan Boys and Girls Club. "We are in the process of organizing a Teen Leadership Camp next Spring and we are excited that the funds donated will allow us to put that program on."
Further information about the Teen Leadership Camp will be posted on
